Welcome to Bible Mode (the "App"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Information We Collect
The App is designed with a "Local First" approach to minimize data collection:
- Account Data: When you use "Sign in with Apple", we receive a unique user ID and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. This is used solely to personalize your experience and manage your premium status.
- Activity Records: We track your spiritual challenge records (e.g., read time, verses shown, challenge success/cancellation). This data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Payment Data: All purchases are handled through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not have access to your payment methods or credit card numbers.
2. Permissions & Usage
- Screen Time (FamilyControls): Used to manage app blocking and show the Bible Gate. Note: Apple's framework ensures we cannot see your private browsing history or specific app activities; we only receive encrypted tokens.
- Camera: Used exclusively for the "Scan Bible" feature. All text recognition (OCR) is performed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are uploaded or stored.
3. Third-Party Services
We use official services from Apple for authentication and payments. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for more information. We do not share your data with advertising agencies.
4. Account Deletion
You have total control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated local data at any time via the Profile section of the App by tapping Delete Account.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
